Creative Grief Coaches

Julee Gell, LCSW.

Julee Gell, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker in private practice, a Certified Creative Grief Support Practitioner ™ through Creative Grief Studio and also a Compassionate Bereavement Care Provider ® certified through the MISS Foundation, the Elisabeth Kugler-Ross Family Trust and the Center for Loss & Trauma.

"My own personal grief work, due to significant losses in my life, drew me to the field of grief and loss therapy over 20 years ago. Losses such as death, dying, break-ups, divorce, job loss, pet loss, infertility issues, or serious illness are considered "normal" parts of life, but often leave us feeling lost, isolated, confused, and misunderstood. Many people have the resources to work through these losses and the associated feelings naturally and on their own. However, others may need additional help due to the layered nature of the grief process. I have helped guide others through their own grief journey with validation, gentleness, and inspiration. I am passionate about helping people grieve wholeheartedly, honor their losses and reclaim their lives.  I provide both psychotherapy and coaching to individuals who are grieving.  I also offer the group "Helping Parents Heal" for parents who are estranged from their adult children."

'There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are messengers of overwhelming grief...and unspeakable love.' ~Washington Irving

Amber Jacoby, BCTMB.

Amber is a Certified Creative Grief Support Practitioner™ through Creative Grief Studio and a Certified Compassionate Bereavement Care Provider®  through the MISS Foundation, the Elisabeth-Kubler-Ross Family Trust and the Center for Loss & Trauma. Amber has been offering creative grief support facilitation for over 20 years.

"My education and life experiences have led me to support individuals and families during the difficult and challenging times that accompany grief.

Ten years into providing grief support to others I suffered my own loss with the sudden death of my husband in 2009. My foundation was shattered. During my personal journey with grief it confirmed for me that my philosophy and my professional practice of combining not-so-traditional models of grief support along with traditional models are most inspiring and hold more value for those who are grieving. Processing the death of a loved one is so uniquely personal. I help each client to explore and discover which practices are most supportive and helpful for them in a safe and comfortable environment.

I encourage the welcoming of whatever emotion or feeling comes knocking, always inviting it in to seek its purpose.

I proudly serve as an executive board member for TuNidito Children and Family Services.  It is my privilege to be part of a facilitator team offering Soul Restoration retreats through Beautiful You, a partner with Brave Living International, and with Girls Scouts of Southern Arizona co-leading  Authoring Your Own Life women's retreats.  I’m also Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and have worked with hundreds of families at end of life and those experiencing grief."

"Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day saying, " I will try again tomorrow."
